HudPost, an online publication that covers Hudson County, reported federal agents with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations and the Drug Enforcement Administration detained a man near 62nd Street and Jackson Street in West New York on Sunday, Nov. 23.
The man was taken away in an unmarked vehicle, HudPost reported. Two officers on scene wore masks during the detention, HudPost said.
HudPost originally said West New York police participated in the operation, which drew a strong rebuke from the West New York Police Department, which acknowledged a police officer was on routine patrol and happened across the scene as enforcement action was underway…
