64-Year-Old Woman Injured by Stray Bullet in Upper Manhattan, Suspect Sought by NYPD

A 64-year-old woman was caught in the crossfire and wounded by a stray bullet while traversing the streets of Upper Manhattan, as confirmed by NYPD officials. The incident, which unfolded near West 204th Street and Broadway in Inwood, occurred at around 4:30 p.m. on November 24. The woman reportedly noticed a group of young people in close proximity just before one individual discharged a 9mm round, striking her in the left buttock.

Gothamist reports that in the aftermath of the shooting, the alleged perpetrator fled southbound on Broadway while the victim received care at Harlem Hospital and is said to be in stable condition. Fleeing the scene, police have yet to apprehend the suspect involved in the shooting.
