According to police, Detective First Grade Michael Greaney, a 17-year NYPD veteran assigned to the office of Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny, was driving to work around 8:45 a.m. when he noticed a black BMW racing along the emergency shoulder of the southbound Bronx River Parkway.
