PA Boy Shot Dead In Jersey City Apartment, Prosecutor Says

Shortly after 5:10 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department was notified of an injured male inside an apartment on Rose Avenue, according to Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Mello.

Responding officers found a male juvenile with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body, authorities said. The victim was later identified as Al-Jahmir Curry, 16, of Pennsylvania. Police did not say where in Pennsylvania he was from.

Curry was pronounced deceased just before 5:30 p.m., authorities said. The cause and manner of death are pending with the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office…
