‘Sports dad’ suffers brain injury after savage $20 street attack outside NYC concert venue

According to police sources and his loved ones, a Long Island “sports dad” suffered a traumatic brain injury after being viciously beaten by a street seller outside Manhattan’s famous Beacon Theatre over a meager $20 purchase. On the evening of Nov. 30, Sean Llewellyn, 47, had just left a concert outside the Upper West Side venue on Broadway near West 75th Street when he attempted to buy trinkets from a man outside, according to the sources. Llewellyn gave the seller $20 and was supposedly given change, but the dubious vendor stole the money.

According to the sources, when Llewellyn pursued him, a number of other people joined the seller and began assaulting the father.
