Human skeletal remains were found at Coney Island in New York City a day after a human skull was first uncovered last week, the New York Police Department said.
Police said they found a human skull in the bushes near Riegelmann Boardwalk in Brooklyn shy of 6 p.m. Dec. 9, according to a report obtained by PEOPLE. A day later, authorities discovered human arms, legs and other bones in the same area in the afternoon, ABC7reports. Authorities suspect the remains have been buried in the bushes for a while.
The cause of death of the unidentified person is currently being reviewed by the New York Medical Examiner’s Office, and the NYPD is also carrying out an investigation…
