Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at 1 p.m. on Interstate 80 east at milepost 62 in Saddle Brook, Bergen County on Friday, Dec. 19, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said.
Based on a preliminary investigation, a Jeep being operated by Kelvin Almonte, of Elmwood Park, was traveling on the on-ramp to Route 80 eastbound when, at the split of the Garden State Parkway southbound 159 entrance, the Jeep ran off the roadway to the right, impacted multiple signs, traveled across a grassy area, and impacted a tree, according to Marchan.
