Police are searching for two suspects accused of stealing or attempting to steal ATM machines from stores across New York City, with many of the incidents concentrated in Brooklyn’s East New York neighborhood.
According to the NYPD, the suspects are believed to be responsible for at least 17 incidents reported across multiple precincts in Brooklyn and Queens over the span of several weeks. Investigators say the crimes include ATM thefts, attempted ATM removals, car thefts and stealing cash from machines.
