BRONX, N.Y. – A 73-year-old man was injured early Wednesday after being pushed into a moving subway train at the 161st Street–Yankee Stadium station, police said. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. when the man, who was standing on the platform, was suddenly shoved by another individual. He struck the side of a train before falling back onto the platform.
The victim suffered minor injuries and was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition.
Police detained a person of interest shortly after the incident, though no formal charges have been filed. Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage from the station as they work to determine what led to the assault…
