MOUNT HOPE, The Bronx (PIX11) – A $10,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect accused of fatally shooting a rideshare driver on New Year’s Day in the Bronx.
Police said 55-year-old Issa Mbolo-Isac was wrapping up a 12-hour New Year’s Eve Uber shift when he was shot and killed over a minor crash on Morris Avenue. Mbolo-Isac was on his way to pray at a nearby mosque before he died, according to the New York State Federation of Taxi Drivers.

A man was caught on camera approaching the driver’s side of Mbolo-Isac’s Toyota RAV4 in a surveillance video. Mbolo-Isac tried to accelerate away, and two men ran after his car, the video showed.
“Two men tried to pull (the victim) out of his car, and when he sped off to get away, the two men opened fire…. This was a disgraceful and cowardly act of violence, and someone out there saw what happened. We need them to come forward now,” said Fernando Mateo, a spokesman for the NYSFTD…
