Two New Jersey jewelers were arrested following a violent confrontation inside New York City’s Diamond District that was captured on video and shared widely on social media, according to social media posts and the New York Post.
George Akay, 46, and his brother Freddy Akay, 42, who online records show are both New Milford, NJ, residents, are facing assault charges for attacking competing jeweler Maksud Agadjani, the owner of TraxNYC, inside their shared business space on West 47th Street, according to the New York Post and multiple viral clips shared by Agadjani.
Agadjani owns TraxNYC and has more than 3.5 million Instagram followers.

Agadjani posted footage of the confrontation that prompted a massive brawl on Friday, Jan. 2, to Instagram. One video, captioned “Need my 22k from these thieves , they robbing people and calling the cops on me,” shows Agadjani confronting an unidentified man at a booth operated by the Akay brothers while holding up a receipt. He can be heard yelling, “Where’s my f—ing money, you mother f—er,” followed by, “You’re using my name, you b–ch. You f—king thief,” according to the video…
