NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — A total of 15 people have been injured in two separate fires in New York City during the early hours of Saturday morning, according to fire officials.
In Queens, nine people were injured when a fire ripped through a restaurant at 107-20 Corona Ave. around 1 a.m., a representative for the fire department said. While eight people refused medical, one firefighter was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries.

Hours later, six people were injured when another fire broke out just before 5 a.m. at an apartment building at 1112 Bedford Ave. in Brooklyn, officials reported. Four civilians and two firefighters were taken to local hospitals, though the extent of their injuries was unknown.
