STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A nationwide Verizon Wireless outage is affecting some users trying to call 911, according to an emergency notification Wednesday by New York City officials.
Verizon was still working to solve the issue, as of 2:15 p.m., according to a statement by the company on X.
“We are aware of an issue impacting wireless voice and data services for some customers,” the statement read. “Our engineers are engaged and are working to identify and solve the issue quickly. We understand how important, reliable connectivity is and apologize for the inconvenience.”…
