Passenger With Cocaine, Outstanding Warrants Arrested In New Bridge Road Traffic Stop, Cops Say

A 22-year-old Bergenfield man was arrested after a late-night motor vehicle stop led to the discovery of drugs and outstanding warrants, authorities said.

The stop occurred at 1:02 a.m. on Jan. 13, when Officer Brian Johnson conducted a motor vehicle stop on New Bridge Road, according to New Milford Police Chief Brian Clancy.

During the stop, Johnson saw a bag of white powder believed to be cocaine sitting in plain view on the passenger’s lap, police said. The passenger was removed from the vehicle and identified as Camilo Puentes, 22, of Bergenfield, according to Clancy…
