A New York City labor union in the International Brotherhood of Teamsters is endorsing Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), who launched his reelection bid for a third term last week.
Teamsters Local 237 released a statement on Thursday backing Goldman over former New York City Comptroller Brad Lander, who exhibits more socialist leanings than the progressive incumbent.
“A member of the Labor Caucus and co-founder of the Dads Caucus, Rep. Goldman knows what it takes to fight and win for working families and organized labor,” Teamsters Local 237 President Gregory Floyd said, as first reported by Politico. “He delivered more good-paying jobs for New Yorkers, championed legislation that protects the right to organize, wants to make the ultra-wealthy pay their fair share, and more.”…
