Royer Soto, 32, of Hazleton, PA, was taken into custody on Sunday, Jan. 11, according to Teaneck Police Chief Andrew McGurr.
Dispatch received an Automatic License Plate Reader alert for a 2025 Honda Accord with Pennsylvania registration wanted out of New York City at approximately 5:23 p.m. that day, the chief said. The vehicle had been wanted in connection with a vehicular assault on a law enforcement officer, McGurr said.
Officers Kyle Rosen and Alexander LaVacca spotted the Honda after it turned into a municipal lot on State Street, and attempted a motor vehicle stop, McGurr said.
