Some missing pet stories feel like they belong to one person. This one now belongs to an entire city — and the internet.
Ellen and her 4-year-old rescue Tuxedo cat, Tazzie Lee, were supposed to be on a straightforward holiday trip. Instead, after a canceled flight and airport chaos at JFK’s Terminal 4, Tazzie somehow slipped out of her soft carrier between the terminal and the parking lot and vanished into the tangle of roads, buildings, and noise just before Christmas. Her friends described it perfectly in a TikTok caption: Ellen is as close as can be with Tazzie, and she has been absolutely distraught ever since her cat escaped.
