Several buildings and cars lit up in flames on Friday night in Yonkers as smoke blanketed the air.
The fire started around 7 p.m. on School Street. It was all-hands-on-deck with every Yonkers firefighter on the scene as well as mutual aid brought in from neighboring departments to try to get flames under control.
