New Localized Storm Snowfall Map: These Tristate Locales Expected To See Highest Accumulations

A brand‑new localized snowfall map from the National Weather Service shows which New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut communities are likely to see the heaviest snow from the major winter storm set to hit Sunday morning, Jan. 25, into Monday, Jan. 26.

The Winter Storm Watch has now been upgraded to a Warning as confidence in a high‑impact storm increases.

According to the National Weather Service New York office, much of the tristate is now forecast to receive well over 1 foot of snow, with the most severe accumulation expected north and west of New York City. The new “most likely snowfall” graphic shows:

  • Westchester, Hudson Valley: Cold Spring at 16.8 inches, Middletown at 15.3 inches, White Plains at 13.7 inches, and New City at 15.2 inches.
  • Northern NJ: West Milford at 15.9 inches and Paramus at 12.7 inches.
  • Connecticut: Danbury at 16.3 inches, Waterbury at 15.4 inches, New Haven at 14.9 inches, Norwich at 14.5 inches, and East Haddam at 14.1 inches.
  • NYC/Long Island: New York City at 12.4 inches, JFK at 12.0 inches, Syosset at 12.4 inches, Westhampton at 12.4 inches, and Montauk at 11.5 inches.
