The incident happened on Thursday, Jan. 29, when officers responded just after 10 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a pedestrian struck near the intersection of West 262nd Street and Broadway in the Bronx, within the confines of the 50th Precinct, according to the NYPD.
When officers arrived, they were redirected to 90 Caryl Ave. in Yonkers, where the injured man was ultimately found.
Investigators found that the man had been lying in the roadway on Broadway when he was struck by a red Honda CR-V driven by a 31-year-old man, police said.
