Bronx building gas explosion residents blame management, reps deny claims

THE BRONX, N.Y. (PIX11) — A week after a gas explosion killed one and injured at least 15 others at a Bronx apartment building, residents are blaming management for “neglect,” saying their previous reports of smelling gas went unanswered.

Residents of the Boston Secor building at 3475 Bivona St. rallied outside the property manager Wavecrest Management on Saturday, claiming the management “did nothing” when they reported an electrical fire and smell of gas a week before the deadly explosion on Jan. 24.
