Car Stolen From NJ Ends Up In Dover Snowbank After Multi-County Chase, Driver Charged: Sheriff

The events leading up to the arrest began during the early morning hours on Thursday, Feb. 5, when the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a chase in Westchester and Putnam counties that ended in the Pawling area, the Sheriff’s Office said on Friday, Feb. 6.

Authorities were soon given a description of the vehicle, and soon enough, a deputy found it at around 1 a.m. — stuck in a snowbank on Route 22 in Dover.

The driver was then identified as Hudson County resident Julio Pineda, 46, of West New York, New Jersey. During the investigation at the scene, deputies said they determined the vehicle had been reported stolen out of New Jersey…
