Anita Martin, 60, was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, along with misdemeanor counts of animal torture and abandonment in connection with the case, the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office announced on Monday, Feb. 9.
The charges stem from a disturbing incident on Nov. 21, when a 1-year-old dog later named Frankie was discovered abandoned at Saint John’s Cemetery in Yonkers, as Daily Voice previously reported.
