A 27-year-old man died following a hit-and-run incident in the Bronx. According to PIX11, the man was struck by an SUV in a parking lot near 645 Westchester Avenue at approximately 2:24 a.m. yesterday. Police reported that the driver did not stop and left the scene after the collision.
Emergency medical services transported the victim to a nearby hospital with serious head injuries, according to authorities. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, and his identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The New York City Department of Transportation reported that no arrests had been made as of Sunday evening and that the investigation remains ongoing.
