NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Deaths during the recent cold snap in New York City included a 52-year-old man who had recently been discharged from the hospital and an unhoused woman, officials said during a hearing Tuesday.
Among those who died is Frederick Jones, a 67-year-old from Midtown Manhattan in an adult protective services guardianship, who was found a mile away from his home, according to City Council Speaker Julie Menin.

Nolberto Jimbo-Niola, a 52-year-old from Ecuador, was found dead on a bench in Queens with discharge papers from Elmhurst hospital. Menin said he died from cold weather exposure.
Another of the deaths was 64-year-old Barbara Szuter, who died on Saturday and was unhoused, Menin said…
