New York City blasted with more snow over Valentine’s weekend as cold death toll climbs

New York City is finally getting some respite from the bitter cold snap that has lead to at least 19 deaths across the region, but the wintry weather isn’t totally over yet.

New Yorkers are likely to rejoice in the news that Valentine’s Day will be relatively mild as temperatures finally start to warm up. The city has been in a frigid cold snap for weeks, with a Code Blue in place since January 19.

But while temperatures will warm up slightly over the weekend, more fresh snow is also on the way. It comes as the city is already facing huge piles of snow that have mounted since the first major winter storm last month…
