NYC braces for more snow this weekend as another major storm rolls in after deadly freeze

The winter weather in New York City shows no sign of letting up anytime soon, with the region set to be blanketed by more snow this weekend.

New Yorkers woke up to more snow on Monday as the relentlessly frigid conditions continued. At least 19 people have died across the city since a Code Blue alert was issued on January 19.

Respites from the bitterly cold temperatures have been brief and forecasters warn that another major winter storm could roll into the Northeast this week. NYC can expect up to half a foot of snow as the region struggles to deal with the already huge piles of icy slush across the city…
