Central NY resident scammed out of $18,500. Troopers set up sting when man came back for more

Brutus, N.Y. – State Police last week set up a sting after a Central NY resident reported being scammed out of $18,500 and the scammer was coming back for more.

Troopers were waiting, and when the New York City man arrived to collect $22,400, he was arrested, the State Police announced in a news release Wednesday.
