Piling It On: Here Are Shocking Snowfall Totals So Far This Winter From NY, Northeast

The Blizzard of 2026 may have set the stage, but it is the relentless pattern of storms and arctic blasts that has made this winter of 2025-26 one for the books across the Northeast.

Mount Washington in New Hampshire leads the region with a staggering 188.2 inches of snow so far this season, topping its normal total of 182 inches, according to National Weather Service accumulation totals for the season through late in the afternoon Tuesday, Feb. 24.

In the traditional snow country of central and western New York, Syracuse, is not far behind, with 130.4 inches — nearly 30 inches above its average. Rochester and Buffalo, have also seen major increases, with 105.4 inches and 82.8 inches, respectively…
