Pair arrested for identity theft at credit union

Mahopac – An alert teller at the Hudson Valley Credit Union office in Mahopac, who became suspicious when a customer attempted to withdraw money by presenting a possibly fraudulent driver’s license, has resulted in the arrest of two men on felony charges.

Carmel Police Chief Anthony Hoffmann reported the arrests of Derrick Sutton, 39, from White Plains and 31-year-old Jordan Wright from Manhattan in connection with the attempted crime.

Each was charged with identity theft, criminal possession of a forged instrument, attempted grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property…
