A Morrisania man is dead after police say he was shot inside his apartment early Friday morning in the Forest Houses.
The NYPD says officers responded to a 911 call shortly after 6:30a.m. at 765 East 165th St., where they found 27-year-old Jayvontae Simmons unconscious with a gunshot wound to the head.
