The families of two men suspected of an “ISIS-inspired act of terrorism” outside Gracie Mansion in New York City appear to have years-long ties to Bucks County, a review of voter registration data, property records and court filings suggest.
Emir Balat,18, and Ibrahim Kayumi, 19, are in custody for allegedly attempting to ignite two homemade devices during a clash between an anti-Islam group and counterprotesters just outside the New York City mayor’s residence on March 7. New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch has said that preliminary testing confirmed the improvised explosive devices, “could have caused serious injury or death.”
