STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Over 5,000 Staten Island buildings are violating an important local law, which could result in fines.

As of Feb. 25, 2026, 5,298 Staten Island buildings are in breach of FTF-PL-PER: Failure to File a Periodic Plumbing Inspection report, according to city data.
