TV Legend Ernie Anastos Dies In Westchester: Anchored ABC 7, CBS 2, FOX 5 Newscasts

Known for his warmth and professionalism, the 82-year-old Anastos was the only anchor to have led the evening news at all three of the city’s major network flagship stations — ABC 7, CBS 2, and Fox 5 — over a career spanning more than 40 years.

His wife, Kelly, confirmed that Anastos died from pneumonia early Thursday morning, March 12, at Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, according to CBS 2 New York.
