About ROSTO
ROSTO is a custom-built rotisserie concept powered entirely by burning wood, without gas or hybrid fuel. The Texas-built system is one of the few fully wood-fired indoor rotisserie setups currently operating in the United States. Chickens rotate slowly over the open flame in full view of guests, creating natural caramelization and a distinct wood-fired flavor.
According to the restaurant’s website, ROSTO is a neighborhood kitchen with a single focus: fire-roasted whole chicken. The chickens are sourced from Amish farms and are pasture-raised with no antibiotics. The culinary program is led by Chef Nitzan Raz, whose background includes roles at Mesa Grill, Nobu Tribeca, Jean-Georges, and SushiSamba. The Tenafly location is the brand’s first.
What’s on the Menu

One menu option that caught BG’s eye is the Fire-Roasted Chicken Sandwich, which comes with caramelized onions, house-pickled onions, pickles, house BBQ sauce, and habanero aioli on a ciabatta roll + served with crispy fries…
