A classic rock band is retiring from performing live after more than five decades.
Orleans bassist-vocalist Lance Hoppen announced Tuesday that this will be the group’s last year touring. Just two concerts in New York state are scheduled on March 20 at SONY Hall in NYC and March 21 at the Paramount Hudson Valley Theater in Peekskill.
“Last Saturday we played our first show of 2026, which is the beginning of year 54 for Orleans as a live band. That’s a good long run by any standard,” wrote Hoppen, the sole classic-era member in the lineup. “In recent years I’ve polled the audiences to ask ‘how many have never seen an Orleans show?’ The hands go up and I’ve said, ‘It’s a good thing you didn’t wait any longer!’ That was never more true than it is today…
