NY murder suspect in custody after ‘large-scale’ police operation in Norwich Friday, officials say

NORWICH — A New York murder suspect was arrested during a large, pre-dawn law enforcement operation in Norwich Friday, police said.

At last three police agencies were involved in the apprehension of Anthony Caballero, 19, who police said was wanted on a charge of second-degree murder. The shooting homicide happened in the Bronx on Feb. 11, Norwich police Lt. Kyle Besse said.

Roads that had been shut down for the “large-scale arrest operation” had been reopened shortly after, Besse said. The operation was focused on Clairmont Avenue, he said…
