An after-school showdown spilled onto the street outside a McDonald’s in the West Farms section of the Bronx less than an hour after the final bell, sending a crowd of teenagers into the intersection at East Tremont Avenue. Fists flew, traffic briefly ground to a halt and emergency crews rushed in, leaving neighbors saying the flare-up only deepened worries about recent youth violence in the area.

Video posted to the Citizen app shows groups of teens swinging at each other and surging into the roadway, according to News 12 New York. The outlet reports that an ambulance pulled up to the scene and police officers responded, although no arrests were immediately announced.
