NYPD searching for 5 individuals in Staten Island bicycle robbery of 11-year-old

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying five individuals wanted in connection with an alleged armed robbery of an 11-year-old boy in the 123rd Precinct.

Police said the incident occurred March 28 at approximately 6:15 p.m. near Ramona Avenue and Lenevar Avenue. The victim was riding his bicycle when five individuals surrounded him and forcibly removed him from the bike. One of the individuals displayed a hammer and made verbal threats during the robbery, according to NYPD.

The group allegedly fled southbound on Lenevar Avenue with the bicycle. No injuries were reported, and police said the bicycle was later recovered near the location…
