FDNY battles 3-alarm fire in vacant Chelsea apartment building, two firefighters injured

Fire crews responded at 6:08 a.m. Sunday to a fire in a vacant six-story Manhattan building that extended across multiple floors, according to the FDNY.

FDNY officials said during a public information briefing that the blaze was a three-alarm fire at Box 0603, with about 192 firefighters and EMS personnel on the scene.
