Suspect wanted for snatching woman off Queens Boulevard and taking her against her will into Sunnyside 7 train station: NYPD

Police from the 108th Precinct are looking for a suspect who subjected a woman to unlawful imprisonment in broad daylight at a Sunnyside 7 train station on Monday, April 20.

Police say the 23-year-old victim was walking along Queens Boulevard when a stranger began harassing her at around 5:30 p.m. The woman was having none of the small talk and told him to beat it, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation. The stranger grew angry at the rejection and as the victim attempted to walk away, the perpetrator physically restrained her from fleeing, police said.

The suspect grabbed her hand and picked her up and carried her across Queens Boulevard onto the Bliss Plaza pedestrian space where no one attempted to intervene, according to authorities. He then ascended the stairs into the 46th Street-Bliss Street 7 train station above the plaza. Inside the station, the victim screamed at him to put her down or she was going to call the police, the law enforcement source added. The suspect complied and put her down before running out of the station onto Queens Boulevard and then fled on foot in an unknown direction. The woman was not injured during the encounter…
