Music superstar Akon, known for 2000s hits like “Locked Up” and “Lonely,” recently opened up about his early years in New Jersey.
The singer, songwriter and record executive was candid about his younger years spent in Union City, Newark and Jersey City, during an April 18 appearance on Z100 New York with Crystal Rosas.
