Nassau County police are seeking the public’s help in finding a man who allegedly stole merchandise from a store in East Garden City. Grand Larceny that occurred on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 8:18 p.m. in East Garden City.
According to Third Squad Detectives, an unknown male subject entered Dicks Sporting Goods, located at 630 Old Country Road, on April 11 at 8:18 p.m. and allegedly removed multiple clothing items from the shelves and then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The subject then re-entered the store with a hand truck and allegedly removed two boxes containing roller blades and a workout bench then left the store without paying for those items and fled in an unknown direction.
The subject had black hair and a full beard. He was wearing a black jacket, black pants, black and orange shoes and a black hat. The investigation is ongoing…
