250 years calls for a bigger party in the U.S.A.! Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks is expanding for America’s milestone birthday, with its 2026 show lighting up the skies of both New York and New Jersey. Macy’s goal is to create a shared experience that will connect more communities than ever. This year, it’s a double celebration as the iconic fireworks show marks not only the nation’s 250th birthday, but also the 50th anniversary of the spectacle itself—a New York City tradition since 1976.
“As a brand synonymous with celebration, entertainment and culture, Macy’s brings generations of customers and communities together through both big and small moments,” Sharon Otterman, Macy’s chief marketing officer, said in a press release. “The tradition of Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks creates connection through artistry, music and awe-inspiring displays that turn into lasting memories.”
Otterman continued, “We are proud to celebrate our 50th anniversary with a once-in-a-generation experience filled with emotional storytelling and signature spectacle to connect millions of people nationwide.”…
