STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Attorney Danielle Caminiti found a silver lining during the COVID-19 pandemic, channeling that unexpected time into creating a cookbook. The buzz it generated on social media caught the attention of a Food Network casting director, ultimately leading to her television debut.
Caminiti, a Staten Island–raised lawyer and cookbook author now living in Bay Ridge, has stepped onto the national stage as Contestant No. 24 on Food Network’s “100 Cooks,” a competition featuring 100 home cooks from across the country.
Hosted by Terry Crews, the series pits amateur cooks against one another for a chance to win up to $250,000. Judges Alex Guarnaschelli and Nick DiGiovanni evaluate contestants as they take on a range of fast-paced, high-pressure challenges designed to test skill, creativity and adaptability.
