New York AG opens investigation into fatal police shooting in Brooklyn

The New York Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation into the death of a Brooklyn man following an encounter with police on June 19.

Officials say 48-year-old Lamin Simmons died after being shot by NYPD officers inside a building on Kosciuszko Street.
