New Brooklyn-Area Foodtown Features International Focus

Allegiance Retail Services opened a new Foodtown in Brooklyn, New York’s northern Bay Ridge neighborhood on June 26, with its product mix carefully curated for area residents.

ARS said Bay Ridge is home to residents of Arabic, Irish, Italian, Greek, Asian, Hispanic and other descents, so the new Foodtown offers an assortment of international foods and specialty products, including Halal foods, geared to the neighborhood. The store also carries fresh produce, meats, seafood, bakery items and everyday essentials.

The 9,000-square-foot newly constructed supermarket is at the site of a former Rite Aid at 6900 4th Ave.

A neighborhood reflection
