BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two elected officials are suing New York City over the conversion of a family shelter to an adult male shelter in Brooklyn, court records show.
The lawsuit was filed Friday by City Council Member Inna Vernikov and state Assemblymember Kalman Yeger over the shelter project at 3218 Emmons Avenue in Sheepshead Bay. The location is the former Gold Star Inn, which has been recently used as a shelter for migrant families, according to the suit.
