A Brooklyn man has been arrested after assaulting two Nassau County police officers on Sunday.
Nassau police say that officers were dispatched at around 5:48 a.m. to a report of a vehicle stopped near the intersection of Nassau Expressway and Rock Hall Road in Lawrence with the driver appearing to be asleep. When the officers attempted to wake the man he then allegedly spit at them and became combative.
