Apartments evacuated after scaffolding comes loose from Brooklyn building

Apartments were evacuated after scaffolding came loose from a Brooklyn building on Monday night.

Department of Building officials said scaffolding installed at the side and rear of a a six-story apartment building located at 2265 Gerritsen Ave. between Knapp St. and Avenue V in Gerritsen Beach pulled away from the facade, causing several metal bars of the scaffold to bend and buckle.

All the apartments in the back of the building were evacuated…
